A WHOLE LOT ACTUALLY!! 🙂
Hello Everyone – Heather here! It’s been a while since I have posted a personal post, well any blog post for that matter. Haha! Wow, what a wonderful few years it’s been! I have been photographing more weddings than ever and gotten to meet some of the greatest clients! You may have noticed a little slowing in the blog posts. I have been taking a little hiatus from all the blogging so that outside of photographing, editing, and day-to-day business, I could have a little more personal time for some big life events! I just want you to know I am still here, and a busy-as-ever little photo bee. I would love to fill you in on a few updates 🙂
As many of you know, Stefani and I (Heather) worked together for quite a few years. Stefani Peterson was the one who founded this great company and at the beginning of 2013, she decided to retire her wedding camera to get to spend more time with her husband and now two beautiful little girls. It was such a great partnership and I am so happy for all the fantastic things going on in her life. Since then, I have been leading the helms full time and so happy to be here! It has and continues to be such a rewarding experience and I feel SO SO grateful to get to be part of and get to capture so many special moments!
Ok, some of my recent fun life events I would love to share…
I got married in November 2015!
That’s right, I got to be on the other side of things as the Bride! My husband, Joel, and I got married in our favorite place. The Virgin Islands!!! If you haven’t ever been, you have to put it on your bucket list right now! We had so much fun with a welcome catamaran sail to Jost Van Dyke, BVI with all of our family and friends, got married on on Cinnamon Beach on the beautiful St. John, USVI, and then hopped over to Virgin Gorda, BVI for a honeymoon trip I will never forget. I can’t wait for many anniversary trips to the gorgeous places in the future and I hope you get to experience them as well!
I moved back to Dallas full-time December 2016!
I had been splitting my time working in Austin and Dallas, and with my husband’s new job, we were able to move back to Dallas full time where the majority of my work is, and even more exciting to be back by close to family…because we had a baby on the way!!
I had a baby girl in March 2017!
Meet this sweet little firecracker, Campbell Noelle! We have already gotten to take one trip around the sun with this little drop of sunshine and there is seriously nothing like it. She is sugar and spice and I seriously can’t get enough of this little wild flower. Hopefully she doesn’t ever get tired of Mama’s camera!

Hall of Fame: Best of Weddings – Best Wedding Photographer!
I hope to share more on this later in another blog post but getting chosen for this elite award means so much to me because part of what gets me this accolade is excellent reviews from my wonderful clients! I’m telling you, I am so lucky to have the BEST CLIENTS!! I have been chosen for Best of Weddings Wedding Photographer for 4 years in a row (2015-2018) and this year got to be an inductee to the Hall of Fame!
Life has been so filled with joy these last few years! Thanks for letting me take a break to fill you in on a few things! Until I get back to date on the backlog of wedding and photo shoot posts, feel free to check out my social media pages which I post to more often than the blog!
